What you need to establish service
- Phone number
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Mailing address
- Service location address
- Payment method for fees
- Social Security number or driver’s license number for the security deposit
- Optional: letter of credit from your previous utility (this could help you avoid paying a security deposit) or pay a lower deposit amount
- Name of anyone else on the account
- Determine the day of the month you’d like your bill due
New members pay these two fees
Paid up front
Refundable when service is disconnected
Applies to new members only
Grants membership into the cooperative
Paid up front, per meter
Applies to any new service connection
Covers the cost of establishing
new account and electric service
We may require a refundable security deposit
But you can avoid it or pay a lower deposit by providing
valid identification and a credit assessment (will not affect your credit score)
OR a letter of credit from your previous utility.

- LLP tax ID number

Demonstrate a good payment history with your previous electric utility by providing a letter of credit
Ask for a credit assessment
- Will not affect your FICO credit score
- Quick – can take place over the phone
- Eliminate your deposit amount (contingent upon satisfactory credit assessment results)
